Gizmodo - CNBC Is Ridiculous: Macs Come With Photoshop, PCs Need $600 Extra to 'Perform As Well As a Mac' - Cnbc
Oh my. Don’t get me wrong I’m a mac guy. If you ask me about computers, i’ll spend a half hour convincing you to get a mac and have 100 reasons why. However, this CNBC video is at it’s core nearly entirely untrue. These aren’t half truths or marketing speaks, The things Jim Goldman says are out and out LIES. I would think that Apple paid CNBC for this spot, but I don’t think they would be want to be responsible for the preposterous statements he makes.
I believe the total cost of ownership on a mac is much closer than the original purchase price makes it appear. I believe most home users would be much happier on a mac and that overall they do just work better. But… they do NOT come with photoshop. They do NOT need $100 music software, they come with iTunes which is FREE and also on PC’s. They have the same processors available in PC’s and you can get the same screen resolution.
This video was sloppy journalism by CNBC who are quickly establishing themselves as a worthless place for anything resembling honest news. They should be ashamed.
